Moyn's Park, the former home of the Mountbatten family is over 400 years old.
Serious structural faults had been caused by alterations over the years.
The Client, English Heritage were insistent that structural repair techniques should be sympathetic to existing materials, visibly unobtrusive and cause the minimum of disruption to the host fabric whilst restoring full integrity.
Some areas of brickwork had to be removed and rebuilt. The Helibeam System of concealed masonry reinforcement was installed around the bay, stitching the brickwork and tying the bay to the main structure.
BowTies restrained the bowed wall while grouted CemTies anchored the faĆ§ade. The whole area was re-pointed with lime mortar
Significant time and cost savings were made and a 10 year insurance backed warranty was issued for the work.
